What is
the VisionSavings Eyecare Program?
Provided by EyeMed Vision Care through MetLife, the
VisionSavings Eyecare Program
offers employees substantial discounts on eye exams and eyewear
at thousands of participating provider locations nationwide.
How do I sign up?
Because you are part of the
VisionSavings Eyecare Program,
you and your dependents can begin using this program now and as often
as necessary throughout the year. There is no need to sign up.
How do I use the Vision Program?
Simply call any of the participating
providers to schedule an appointment.
Identify yourself as a
VisionSavings Eyecare Program
member when making an appointment. Present
your plan number to verify participation at the time of service.
(Your
plan number is 9238205.) The
provider will apply applicable discounts at the time of service.
Where can I go to use the Vision Program?
Using your plan number (9238205),
you can find the nearest provider using the Find
a Provider page.
Can I get an eye examination from one provider and my glasses or contact
lenses from another?
Yes. Members may receive an eye exam from one provider and fill
their prescription for frames/lenses or contact lenses at another provider location.
We offer this type of flexibility to meet the needs of our members.
However, contact lens patients may need follow-up procedures to ensure that contact lenses are fitted properly.
Members are encouraged to consult with their provider as to how their benefit will apply,
as some procedures may not be covered under the plan.
Can I order my contact lenses through
the mail?
Yes, if you have worn contact lenses before and have a current prescription. To
add even more convenience to the EyeMed program, members can order replacement contact
lenses at great prices over the Internet.

Do I get discounts on laser vision correction?
Yes. Members are eligible for savings on LASIK or PRK procedures. Members have access
to more than 600 laser providers through the U.S. Laser network,
owned by LCA-Vision. For more details about laser surgery, visit the

Do I need an ID card?
No, you do not need an ID card. However, your ID card will help the provider identify you or
your dependent as part of the
VisionSavings Eyecare Program.

Can I use my benefits in conjunction
with another plan or store promotion?
When you visit a participating provider that is running an in-store promotion, you can
choose to use your VisionSavings
Eyecare Program
or the in-store promotion, whichever is preferable
to you. You cannot combine the discount program with an in-store promotion.
